Your Black & White and Colour negatives or slides (transparencies) contain far more information than a print made from them, as film can record more tonal detail.
If you still have these types of film in your Collection, I can scan and usually recover the faded tones close to the original quality.

Our modern and historic photographs beloved by everyone can fade over time to a ghostly image.
The photograph opposite was scanned twice to show the left half as it was, and the right half with the tonal range recovered.
